Hi! Just showcasing two jewels of their respective regions. Pics from the SF Bay Area and a recent visit to New Orleans. Enjoy! Not really taking the time to type any commentary, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Whoops did not read the little sentence you wrote in the beginning so as I am scrolling through the pictures I am like this is not San Francisco towards the end. No way this looks like New Orleans. Now I feel foolish but anyways nice pictures San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities we have in america.

Looks like you made it across the Bay to Oakland and Berkeley as well.

I've been to New Orleans, but I've never been to San Francisco. Is it wrong of me to say that some parts of San Fran, as pictured, seem to remind me of New Orleans?

Whatever the sentiment on that question is, I know I have to see San Francisco.

I love New Orleans but I didn't find it like San Francisco at all other than it's live and let live approach to life which I appreciate. New Orleans is a great regional hub and has such an unique culture but it doesn't seem to have the internationalism, economic and social importance that San Francisco does.

Well, I wasn't speaking to culture and lifestyle as much as general appearance of some of the houses and wall-to-wall districts, balconies, color... that sort of stuff.

Yeah, people who like the scale and density of old New Orleans, will love San Francisco.

Spectacular! I echo the comment made above, you've certainly shown a sense of place in this thread for both cities. NOLA and SF are my two favorite American cities. Thanks!

If anything I feel both cities have a vernacular that cannot be found in any other part of the country. Some things are very quintessential and very recognizable in both cities.
