Kansas City - An Autumn Afternoon

Here are some photos around Kansas City, Missouri - taken one autumn afternoon:

Staring in Midtown, around Westport and Volker

And now down to the Plaza and Loose Park area

Continuing along to the Brookside area

And back up to the Nelson Atkins and Southmoreland Neighborhood

Now we go briefly along the east edge of Downtown and into Columbus Park and the River Market:

Thanks for looking!

EXCELLENT shots! That first shot is just great. Fall really is the best time to take pictures of cities in this area of the country.

Great colors in this thread. KC is a wonderful city to wander around in...except maybe in the summer.

I love those apartment buildings down by the Plaza that front the waterway.

Very nice tour along Kansas City. Thanks for sharing this colorful walk in that pretty Autumn afternoon.

I´ve liked the houses, the trees in bright colours, the leaves on the floor. Sensationally captured.

I didn´t know anything about that theatre in Kansas City named as my city... It is curious. I like it.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Nice....I love KC. That is better fall foliage than we had this year. Ours mostly stayed green until it froze off in November. It was lame.

fantastic thread!!!

i used to live by these rock solid beauties, they found their way into a few of my photothreads back in the day.

Love the columbus park shots, too. the architecture feels like a strange hybrid of Soulard and The Hill in St. Louis, mixed with some elements of Clevelands little Italy. very interesting.

Great photos. There's a number of places I still need to visit in KCMO.

Excellent photos, KC to Brooklyn. I did several photo threads of Kansas City a few years ago, and if you ever get board, take a trip up to the Northeast neighborhood. North of Independence Ave, around the Gladstone Blvd area. You will find some of the neatest century old houses. Definitely a great place to hang out in the fall.

Love the first shot especially. Keep up the good work--we don't see enough Kansas City on the forum.

KC has great bones. Too bad despite major efforts to revert it, it still is so suburban you hardly see anybody on the streets. Great photos by the way.
