I hope you have it all figured out now,
but I heard St. John's is getting a new bank tower,
the Snow Bank.

Nobody's on this morning? Or are people having power issues? Mine has flickered a couple times since I've been awake, but seems to be holding up. I'm loving this, but this city is going to be a mess when it transitions into rain!

Great, thanks. Just processing pictures. The power keeps going out...

The snow on my street is now chest-high.

No, the storm has shifted further west than they thought. That extra 30cm should go to clarenville. We're pretty much done for snow.

Stay safe, everyone. My concern now is that the abnormally rising temperatures will influence your abnormal precipitation amounts. The temperatures will remain above 0*C until Tuesday, accompanied by a modest amount of rain.

I hope flooding doesn't become an issue.

We're relatively secure from flooding. Wash-outs are always a concern, as well as flash floods where no water typically flows, but still, standing water can only happen in a handful of very well-prepared places on the island. We're just too hilly.

But minor damage from big puddles... could certainly happen. We'll see.

And now we make the two best rums in North America.

I'll give it to screech, it's always been my first choice for rum Though I never really figured out what was so special about George Street Spiced, I thought it tasted like every other amber rum out there. Maybe my pallet isn't sophisticated enough to taste what makes rum-lovers get wet in the pants.

And me, I only like rum if I don't know it's there and can't taste it.
