$20million AUD needed to start Melbourne CBD bike "freeway"

See video: http://media.theage.com.au/news/nati...l?from=newsbox

from the 10 News segment:

- 10% of "vehicles" entering the CBD are bikes
- veloway to be attached to the existing outer City Loop rail viaduct
- first stage Southern Cross station to Flinders Street station
- potentially extended further north through Docklands (could connect with the Moonee Ponds/Maribyrnong trails that exist now) and to the east along the Main Yarra trail.

news snippet includes this footage:

following is a PDF map of the 'Capital City Trail' that is a link of many off-road trails around the city and you can see all the connecting trails: http://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au/med...rail%20map.pdf
