Weird place to put a big office tower. Far outside of downtown, not near any transit. At that location it would need a ton of parking. A tower like this would have been awesome in MWC.

Today is full of weird proposals, but there's so much to unpack that I can't post them all at once.

There will be a new commuter rail station nearby in 2027:

Not that near by and 2027 is probably very generous. And its commuter rail, not mass transit (i.e. not expected to carry large amounts of people very often). That area needs real mass transit but that is probably 20 years away if ever. In the mean time all the office buildings being proposed up near midtown are madness.

Constructing the tower might not seem strange or unusual when considering the development of a new business/Office district especially given its proximity to the Health District.

It's nice that the immediate area is getting a commuter rail station in the near future, but Edgewater and points north needs frequent mass transit (Metrorail), and waiting another 20 years for such a proposal is very procrastinating.

Hopefully, once the North Extension to Hard Rock Stadium is completed, then an extension NE to Aventura, as well as another extension to FIU and possibly to Southland and Zoo Miami can be a reality by the 2030s.

BTW, any progress on the construction site?
