Hariri Pontarini out of Toronto.

Edmonton has undergone a significant change from the addition of one project. Stantec and the JW Marriot tower obliterated the long-standing plateau in the city's skyline.

and with 4 towers over 800' tall, it's now 3rd behind only NYC (42) and chicago (16) in that category.
Too bad Paramount World Center in Miami is being built at 699 feet. One more foot would put Miami back into a tie with Philly once it and Flatiron top out. Maybe someone can put a box on the roof or something to make it an even 700.

Miami's new tallest Panorama is pretty blah. It does end the "batman ears" look that Miami had for a while with its two tallest being at the ends of the skyline. Hopefully its not the tallest for long with a bunch of taller ones in the pipeline but none really moving dirt yet.

Exactly. Philly has a 973' and an 1121' vs 992' and 1002' in Houston. Houston has more overall height though.

^ your lists omit:

milwaukee, which has 6 buildings >400', with two of those being built since 2000.

cincinnati, which has 7 buildings >400, with one of those being built since 2000.

It is not always about quantity but it is about quality. For example Pittsburgh has a nicer looking skyline IMHO than some cities that are much larger with more/taller buildings. It is all pretty much subjective though I guess.

Here's Boston's recently built Millennium Tower, which was the city's 3rd tallest (and tallest in 40 years) until being passed a few months ago by the Four Seasons posted above. 685' (209m)

Philadephia's tallest towers are much more attractive.

Even though i'm digressing in my own thread, Edmonton also now has 8 buildings over 400 feet

I also can't imagine how anyone could argue that Houston has nicer buildings than Philly even if Houston's skyline is slightly bigger
