INTRODUCTION
Hello folks, this is my first sketchup model.
Its based on a tower I created in another program a few years ago. This time, I created it on Sketchup, learning how to use SKetchup along the process.
ABOUT GERDAU
Gerdau is one of the 5 largest siderurgic groups in the world and its based on the city of Porto Alegre, southern Brazil. They have a quite modest headquarters (in part because of descentralized administration of different facets of the company).
Of course, after seeing this project I designed specially for them, their president Jorge Gerdau Johanpetter will want to buy my project and pay me $$$$$$$$!

PLANS AND BLUEPRINTS
1 - Well, this is a rough I made of the tower. I used blue paper and white pencil I bought at the engineering store nearby. NAH, I just used a Sketchup style

9 - Top Cut, Offices floorplan
10 - Top Cut, Hotel floorplan
11 - In this pic, you can see the difference between the area of the hotel and office floors. The central hole is for the core, but in the middle of the building, floorplan changes and only a part of the core remains. The difference in area of the core is supported by the spire column, which is concrete and rises from the very base.
12 - Central Core and exo-skeleton of the purest Gerdau steel
The spire is concrete. Although I have not created, those trussers that cross the building and connects the two main trusser structures, ALSO do connect to the central core. Those connections were not created because of polygon constraints and because they would never even appear
