This project is turning out much much better than expected and much better than the renders.

Yes, good shots. Must say I like the S/S horizontal accents on the curtainwall. Good contrast with the dark glass.

Honestly this proposal has me almost as excited as the Spire had me (may that plan rest in peace). This project looks simple yet confident, and is in what could be one of the best locations in the United States.

It makes no sense, since I couldn't be happier that this project exists, but I really wish the South Tower would put at least another 300 ft on. This deserves to be THE definitive Chicago site, not one of multiple. In people's minds, Sears' reputation and height, Trump's height and the best view/presentation (river and framing effect) will in my opinion keep them more loved and well-known. +Hancock perhaps

But it's like wishing you won the Super Bowl by 5 touchdowns instead of 2 points. You still won.

It was rumored a while ago on SSC that they were thinking of adding some floors to the South Tower. (Again, rumored, don't quote me on that.)

The 525' figure obviously wasn't final for this tower so maybe the 950' isn't final for the South Tower, or they'll combine the two other towers to make one 500+ meter tower (in my dreams).

It would be nice to see 1200+ feet though, it's the perfect location for it.

That's what I'm saying it's 50' short of what'd considered a "supertall" since it will be standing out on the point it will give an illusion of even taller. This project once completed will be a stunner.

Well, technically 34 feet but the developers don't care about that. They might want more space however.

Any timing on the other towers? I reeeeeeally wish they would just keep the ball rolling and go from one tower into the other to complete them. I'm afraid they're going to take time off from one to the other and the years will fly by.

IF the economy continues to expand at this rate (this is already the second longest post-war expansion after the 1990's, believe it or not) then I am sure they will keep chipping away at this site. This real estate is too prime not to develop with Chicago's core being so hot and the economy continuing to slug along despite major headwinds from the entire rest of the globe. However, one never knows when the next economic shock will occur, that tends to be what delays these big multi year phased projects.

I think having Magellean involved bodes well since they are clearly very experienced in these slow burn phased mega developments.
