Wow. A lot of dark and minimal sounding music. Are there any popular Canadian bands these days? I only listen to downloaded music and I think the only Canadian content I have is Arcade Fire. Tegan and Sarah seem to be a high profile act. I find their music to be terrible though.

Nothing ground breaking but it's catchy and I like the video.

Best live version of this song I've heard in a while - no idea who the singers were. Some voice on him, though. It's a Canadian song, I believe.

Last night on George Street.

Died laughing at two things - some drunk missus who befriended us and said, about a passer-by, "I could never wear sandals on George Street. I wore them to a Black Sabbath concert once and lost a toenail. And my sandal."

AND - in the above setting, with the bars just as busy as the street, some seemingly sober tourist whipping out her phone to Google a drink the bartender didn't know how to make. The bartender's face will haunt my dreams forever. I'd be surprised if she got served at all.

Googled her name and CBC describes her as a Canadian songwriter. Nice. This song has been stuck in my head forever.

EDIT: Found more info. She's from Halifax and nominated for Songwriter of the Year at this year's ECMAs.
