Blackfriars Bridge in London. Not big and fancy like most of the other awesome bridges on here, but it's 145 years old and still in use today. It was recently completely removed from it's site, refurbished, and replaced back in it's place. Apparently it is the longest working iron bowstring span in North America, at 216 feet. (It's a screen grab from a video, not a video, in case you try clicking the arrow lol)

Interesting, looks like its going to be a single tower design.

Wondering if thats to reduce cost as much as possible. I've read on the vancouver subforums that the roadworks on either side are significantly toned down from the original design.

I actually like the single taller tower approach. Will add a nice contrast to Skybridge next to it. The north approach is the same. The south approach won’t include the new Surrey interchange but will include a direct south to highway 17 westbound ramp and the removal of the Old Yabe Road intersection on the 17

Really happy to hear that the old yale road intersection will be gone. Completely ruins the flow in that section of Highway 17 when there's a interchange at Tannery

Yeah, that couple with the upgrade of Sunbury to an interchange (currently U/C) will make the 17 far better.

The old Champlain bridge will be demolished?

It’s supposed to be, but now that all constructions sites in Quebec are shut, it’s to stay for now...

I love the old Blackfriars!. Truly one of Canada's most historic and picturesque bridges and crosses the Thames no less.
