although Brooklyn has more cachet among self-styled "sophisticates" (I dare not use the word
hipster. Oops, I just did), most of the theater--Broadway to the most avant garde stuff, as well as music and top restaurants are still in Manhattan. Like maybe trendier people from "flyover country," (hey, those are fightin' words--I'm from flyover country--lol), trendier/artsier Europeans are acquainted with the "new Brooklyn," but I can't imagine most of them would want to stay there almost exclusively during a vacation.
