The city needs to look into all of the streets dissecting the park.

While true, there's not much that can be really done without some major redesign of the Woodall Rodgers Fwy and moving the exit ramps for Olive and St. Paul, which are critical for commuters. That said, I wish they'd replace the pavement with more rough, traffic calming bricks or rougher pavement in general.

The city did cut Harwood Street and Olive also carries the streetcar, so that would've stuck around regardless.

Hines Breaks Ground on The Victor, New Icon of Luxury Urban Living in South Victory Park

Quote:
(DALLAS, TX) – Hines, the international real estate firm, has broken ground on The Victor, a luxury for-rent residential high-rise community located on the northeast corner of Olive Street and Victory Park Lane. Adjacent to the American Airlines Center and W Dallas-Victory Hotel, the residences will lie at the nexus of burgeoning South Victory (SoVi) District’s three curated blocks of walkable, street-front dining, shopping and entertainment experiences.

Comprised of 344 luxury residences, the 39-story high-rise tower will stand taller than any other residential community in Victory Park or Uptown and will boast 360-degree views of Turtle Creek and the American Airlines Center to the north; Downtown to the south; Downtown and Uptown to the east; and the Trinity River and Margaret Hunt Hill bridge to the west.

That little surface lot across from The Victor in from of the AAC would actually make a good pocket park!

Those lots to the northwest of AMLI Fountain Place are just screaming for development. What would be the height limit there?

The lot immediately across Munger from Fountain Place can accommodate a 100+ story tower (this is where the Perot "signature" tower is proposed) and the lot across Field seemed to be able to accommodate at least a 50 story tower (this was the site of the proposed SE Asian museum and residential tower project).

Just read that Dallas is adding 248 people a day! NYC, LA and especially Chicago are losing people.

We still have plenty of room to grow! Is that number for city or metro? If it's metro, then that's actually quite low compared to previous growth.
