Thanks very much everybody. I do want to reiterate that this may not be the end for my photography on this website, but that I did want something officially "final" in the event that it is.

Jimby: A very amazing city is what Toronto is. I would like living there if I just factored the city itself and nothing else. Toronto seemed nice and vibrant, although I thought it would be more of a 24 hour city. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right places. I loved the mix of old and new, probably because Toronto was a smaller city pre WWII and had to build lots post WWII to accommodate accelerated growth. Montreal? I wish .

Okayyou: Definitely not the first one to make that assertion.

roll call! thanks for the shout, dude. despite what they say, you shouldn't quite while you're ahead. these are pretty great. the contrasts on the city hall close-up and #45 are my favorites. the latter one doesn't look like a building i'd care for too much, but it would be fun to photograph.

What City Hall close up are you referring to? I don't think I posted any pictures of old or new city hall.

Thanks for the compliments. I haven't quit, I just quit posting on SSP .

Great thread, and I hope not your last (though I understand why - I gave up on photothreads some time ago). Your photos have really improved greatly since the original posts a few years back.

While not a true 24 hour city (not sure this really even exists in North America, including NYC), the busiest areas are actually somewhat outside the downtown core. It's not really intuitive if you are visiting. I think all the places I've been to with extended service till 4am have been west of Bathurst.

thanks for the callout, ue. toronto's a bit more of a "know where to look" city than montreal, and def. nyc, but there's some late-night stuff.

Thanks for the comments, guys

No doubt. On the weekends Downtown at night was still pretty busy, but I expected this to extend somewhat in the weekdays on a lesser scale. I knew a bunch of spots to check out, but there is just way too much to see in Toronto and thus, didn't see it all. I still think I did alright.

Toronto looks great through your lens. Hopefully, we'll see more at some point.

Hey, I used to live in that dump! You've captured some of my favourite heritage telegraph poles.
