I have to say that as much as I like this building, I don't like the design of the ground levels. With the rest of the building's vertical thrust, this horizontal gesture seems disconnected. It looks as though they built the tower over a shipping container that they couldn't remove from the site - like it had been given historical preservation status or something.

The bottom does feel detached; I keep forgetting there's a parking deck shoved in there somewhere.

I think I figured it out
Comcast 1 is a flash drive, and the lobby of Comcast II is where it plugs in!

Preach it brother. And while I'm pleased with the design of both Comcast towers I regret that they close the door on seeing the Liberties from the North.

Yeah, but at least you can see it from the west, east, south, and northeast. They are very fine buildings, and they look like they were made to be the tallest.

And they still are in heart. Whenever they peek from behind Comcast, you know who's boss.

Looks like those cages that were sitting on top of the atrium roof are being used here for the external columns:

and they are stacking them on top of each other. Also, that section on the right with the exposed steal was an open hole yesterday so they just placed those I beams yesterday.

^^I'm assuming those massive HVAC units are situated there in preparation for a final hoist to the roof?

I think they're conversation pieces for the hotel guests.

Box, I don't like to clutter threads with off subject posts but just in case you ever thought your remarks like the one above aren't getting chuckles, you would be wrong. Keep it up!

The blue paint on the exterior cladding is peeling off already? This building is going to be a maintenance nightmare.

^^Sometimes I can't tell when people are kidding on here but in case any of you aren't, those metal panels come covered with a blue protective film to keep them from getting scratched or otherwise damaged during installation. Sometimes it begins to peel by itself but eventually the construction crew will remove all of it.
