Time to update the list...

Hopefully somebody has renders of some projects that have no drawings, like The Hat @ Elbow River and One properties in Calgary, both with multiple 150+ metre towers.

Burnaby will likely be adding a new tallest for BC soon. (the Sears site in Metrotown). Render has been floating around for the past few weeks. I really hope that the official height is released. (Burnaby is the worst city in Canada for finding tower heights).

At 65 floors I can see it being 220 - 230 metres. Could challenge Eau Du Soleil for tallest outside a downtown core...

Yeah, that’s a good guess. The crown looks pretty substantial.

The List on the OP has been updated.

Tons of changes again. Multiple new towers U/C or in site prep. Many new towers were added to the list, and some old ones removed... there are 262 towers on the list now.

Would #108 -Rosedale on Bloor still be proposed if there's active demolition going on? I would think that it would be in site prep by now....unless site prep is defined in a certain manner by you koops

Great work on the list btw, amazing to see how much is going on across the country.

Yea....I wasn't quite sure. It'll be quite the surprise to see how this list looks in another 5 years......with more supertalls and more projects added on.

Which 15 proposals will start in 2018? I'm already including Rosedale on Bloor and 19 Duncan.

Perhaps 88 North? UT shows the site being cleared, shoring beginning....

I'm thinking Nobu's hotel and condos might start next year as well, I'm sure I've seen ads for it. Likely constrcution will occur in the latter part of next year.

The Kennedys 3
601 Sherbourne
101 Spadina
Peter and Adelaide - apparently sales are pretty much over now since it's sold out
Charles at Church - waiting for sales to wrap up
637 Yonge - long shot
Nobu Hotel & Residences W
Nobu Hotel & Residences E
Theatre District Hotel & Condos - in site prep
48 Scollard - approved
675 Progress 1
263 Adelaide W
88 North S - possibly in site prep
475 Yonge S
Social - waiting for sales to wrap up
10 St. Mary - approved by OMB
31A Parliament
8 Cumberland - approved by OMB
55 Eglinton E - approved by OMB
475 Yonge N
Canada House 2
One Yonge 3 - in site prep
Canada House 1

That's 21 that may start in 2018, some with better chances than others of course.

Also, these towers are still at the OMB and may start up fast after approval, like the Theatre District Hotel has done.

400 1
400 2
22 Widmer
4800 Yonge
323 Jarvis

I don't know if the city can do it alone. There's about 10 to 15 with a decent chance including supertall One Yonge and supertall M+G. The One's unprecedented sales changed things tremendously.

One Yonge 1
One Yonge 2
Mirvish & Gehry 1
Canada House 1
Canada House 2
19 Duncan
Eight Cumberland
48 Scollard
E2 at E Place
33 Yorkville
CIBC Square 2
30 Bay
Nobu 1
Nobu 2
Theatre District
Charles at Church
Peter and Adelaide
The Rosedale

18

Does Calgary really have more 150 metre buildings built than all of BC. That seems hard to believe. Though it seems that will soon change with the under construction count, unless Calgary gets a few of it's proposal's going.

Still seems strange.

From what I've heard, it's essentially sold out except for a few of the biggest units. For the price point it went at, it was a little unexpected. That price point usually takes time to absorb.

Not really. Office buildings have higher floor height. Vancouver has/had more restrictive height limits. Calgary's high density development is centralized which promotes height (like Chicago)

These were the figures back in 2000

Toronto - 13
Calgary - 9
Montreal - 7

Since 2000

Vancouver - 15
Calgary - 10

I think you mean BC has 15 since 2000, not Vancouver....
