City Fabric art piece

New art piece called "City Fabric" under the south end of the Burrard Bridge.

Pic by me last Monday.

Not that I don't like the art work, but the amount spent could be used to clean up the garbage-laden city of late. The dirty and stinky downtown streets and alleys are way more visible than that little corner under the Burrard Bridge.

Move to China. Shopping malls galore. No art. Completly utilitarian. Perfection.

looks better then a huge ugly assed spinning chandelier. In my opinion. It cant have cost as much either. So its less of a waste of money.

So if I gave a bunch of people flaming arrows to take this waste of money down, and called the act "performance art", can I also get my nose in the city's art trough?

So true. First people complain if there is no public art, then they complain about the public art when it is set up.

Its almost like the people who complain about there being no public art are different people with different opinions then the people who have a negative opinion of it.

Ya really! Every other major city in Canada has its famous boosters but Vancouver has several complainers and zero boosters! Nicko in Montreal, Cal in Toronto, 10 guys in Calgary, but Vancouver nobody!!

Yes but 95% of your posts are entirely negative so why should we care what you think?

I guess you rather live in a city full of garbage. Move to a slump full of artwork then. Imperfection to your satisfaction.

Amazing some people would rather have money spent on artwork under obscure spaces than have prime downtown areas and main city streets removed of garbage. What kind of trashy logic is that, and please don't mind my pun: it's intended.
