I Can only imagine if vancouver wasnt so cowardly (for better or worse) when it came to height. And they offered this at 70 floors or so.

Nice and clean. Great project for Ottawa.

While still proposals, these two went on sale last week in Kelowna, and both sold 70% of their units, so it looks like these two will be rising in the not-so-distant future.

19fl ELLA is located right downtown. It'll be a nice addition to that area. A parking lot sits there now.

One Water.

I believe it is the shorter tower (29fl) that went on sale. The taller one will be Kelowna's tallest at 36 floors.

The Blackmunbay project looks to be the most ambitious. It's very preliminary at this point, but it could be a nice addition to the westside.

And finally, the new hotel proposed for Kelowna's waterfront went through a redesign, and was approved.

The old version

The new version

It has good height. It doesn't need more. It won't make it look better.

Those condos on the Ottawa proposal kinda look like generic offices. Some white on the facade could really help it pop more. It would be nice if they weren’t triplets too. Same reason I’m not a fan of Keynote in Calgary. Though one of their triplets is an office building.

It's great to see Kelowna proposals finally gathering steam but I hope it gets some more variety in the future, especially in the form of office buildings. I'd hate for it to end up looking like Vancouver.

Standard density grab with some active usage at grade level thrown in to convince us otherwise, IMHO.

Anything happen with the tower stalled at grade? Any of these a replacement?

Forget what it was renamed as, but it recently continued and I believe may be topped out now.

Both of Kelowna's stalled towers continued this year.

Breithaupt Block Phase III proposed for midtown Kitchener. WRC is speculating that this could be additional space for Google.

A few from Ottawa.

1946 Scott St in Westboro, two blocks from the current Westboro Transitway Station, to be converted to rail in 2023.

Sprott School of Business, Carelton University;

Spring Park, on the initial Confederation Line 2018 east terminus at Blair Station. A few other proposal by RioCan, redeveloping strip malls across Canada, can be found on the link.

https://killamreit.com/apartments/new-developments

121 Parkdale, near Tunney's O-Train station (2018). Construction on the taller tower has started.

Also quite a few rental towers u/c all over the city. Rental boom is comparable to the condo boom of 2005-2015.

The hyper-density in the Entertainment District continues to increase...

Theatre District Condominiums is no longer in limbo. The proposal has been re-submitted with a new name, new design, new height and a new # of floors.

[IMG][/IMG]
Source

It is now called Theatre District Hotel & Condos. The address is still 30 Widmer St. Toronto.

New height is 156.1 metres. (yes, just slightly shorter than TIFF)

New number of floors is 48.

This all avoids an OMB hearing. There will be a significant hotel component to the project now...

Bleugh. Seeing as how those are elevation drawings, I won't really be too caring of the design, though be concerned a tad bit if this'll be a forgettable design. Interesting to see it's also adding some hotel component to it, a lot of hotels are popping up in the area as of late.

For sure... part Condo, part Hotel, part Office

But it's tall!
