Lol so sad but funny. Would live to see videos from other teams from back then. I bet we can't find one that isn't vomit inducing.

How did St Louis get so bad, so fast? They outshot the Jets last night but weren’t in the game at all ... booed off the ice by whatever fans stuck it out. Anyway, for the first time ever a Jets goalie has 6 shutouts in a season. The Jets just seem so “ for real” this year; no weaknesses on the team except maybe somewhat unsettled backup goaltending.

We did the same Saturday against the Stars. 5-3. But Dallas outshot us. It’s really not about shots on goal anymore in them nhl. It’s the quality of those shots. The jets used to be a crazy team for shots on goal and always lost. This year we are still high in the shots on goal. But we have quality shots and that makes the difference I think. Obviously getting rid of Pavelec was another lol

So which of the four bottom feeder Canadian teams will be the ultimate bottom feeder?

Hell, it is not entirely unfeasible that these same four Canadian teams will be the NHL's bottom four by the time this season finishes up - wouldn't that be something.

Trade Deadline is getting closer.

To BOS:
F Rick Nash

To NYR:
F Ryan Spooner
F Matt Beleskey
D Ryan Lindgren
2018 1st round pick (BOS)
2019 7th round pick (NYR)

NYR retains some salary on Nash
BOS retains some salary on Beleskey

Didnt plekanec usually step it up in the playoffs when Montreal was making their runs? Good depth piece, not sure about giving up a second for him though. Montreal retaining 50% of the cap hit makes me think the Leafs aren't done yet.

Always wanted rychel to do well, but not much evidence of him ever becoming a regular starter in the show. Valiev showed some potential, you guys might have gotten something there.

What a ridiculous end to the Oilers/Ducks game.

Please don't trade Maroon, he is 1/3 reasons I enjoy watching the Oilers.

Toronto moved into second place temporarily in the eastern conference. I'm worried now with Boston getting Rick Nash this weekend that they will be the team to beat this year. That team was already good but now they may be unstoppable.

On a positive note both the Jets and the Leafs are in the top 5 right now.

So, now we deal with the trade tracker deadline. TSN spends an entire day analyzing trade rumours in what has to be one of the most boring days in hockey. LOL

Hard for Calgary to make the playoffs when the Oilers are gifting loser points by blowing 2 goal leads with 20 seconds left.

What a bunch of losers.

Calgary needs to earn their own 2 point to get into the playoffs without relying on any other team to help them

However....It's actually astonishing to see the Oilers Handle the last minute of any close game.

I know for a fact the Div 1 team I play on could do better.

Win battles....take bodies....get nasty....pick up an open player.... gain possession and clear the puck!!!

At least the last bit of the last day picked up trade-wise. It looks like Calgary is going to be fighting St. Louis, Los Angeles and Dallas for the two wild card spots as Anaheim and San Jose go full in for this year. I think they are expecting Vegas to fold in the playoffs (which is possible.) Makes for an interesting run up to the playoffs and first and second round matchups in the West.

We are getting our points, Edmonton just keeps giving our rivals points too! Dammit Oilers, can't you get anything right?!?

Patty brought a work ethic, decent points, a physical presence and an enforcer role if called upon each and almost every night.

If anything, this is the kind of guy you want to have around... alas.

The problem is where do you put him? He often found himself unable to convert the opportunities that were being given to him by McDavid and Draisatl. Good enough for 45 points in the season but the Oilers have found that plugging in some other winger other than Lucic is more productive. I guess the problem is that having an enforcer with slow hands paired alongside two very quick bodies and hands is going to find themself the odd one out in that combo. They're at least the easiest part of the line to check.

I understand that his value is highest now and he is difficult to place in some ways, but last time I checked he was top 5 and could stay top 6. He is Lucic at 1/3 the cost.
