Wondering if there's any information on a tract of land directly across the street from the Toyota plant that appears to be under development? They just finished laying the foundation for a building and it's seems to be about 2 or 3 football fields in size.
I've heard 3 things: It's an a/c and heater supplier for Toyota, it's an a/c and heater manufacturing facility unrelated to Toyota, and it could just be a distribution center for a/c's.

The Medical Foundation is looking to make the Medical Center more pedestrian friendly. The firm the hired for the plan has done some high-profile properties - TBG Inc.
The City is also considering options for creating density in that part of town. Fun times ahead for the main job center in the city.

Northwest of San Antonio, a new luxury apartment community has broken ground. Aura at the Rim is being built by Dallas-based developer Trinsic Residential Group LLC.
SeaWorld 's announcement Friday that it is renovating and revamping the environments for the killer whales at their three U.S. properties includes a "fast water current" for them to swim against, acting somewhat as a whale treadmill.
The company's Blue World Project, an initiative to increase engagement and interaction, would nearly double the size of the whale's current environment.
The environment, with 10 million gallons of water, will stand 50 feet deep on 1.5 acres of surface area. The renovations also include a 40-foot-high viewing gallery for guests to look under and around the whales.

I guess all that political backlash is making them expand as a compromise. I guess this opens up another question, aren't we in the middle of a serious drought? Thats gonna be a lot of additional water being used for something that many people today would call questionable in the first place
David Weekley Homes has announced plans for its first high-density, single-family development in the Alamo City. Known as The Garden at Urban Crest, the 46-home community will be located at 3819 Harry Wurzbach Road, in Northeast San Antonio. The homes will range in size from 1,600 to 2,600 square feet, and will be priced from the low $300,000s.

The area bounded by 10 to the West, 1604 to the North, Union Pacific rail to the East and UTSA Blvd to the South is marketed as District North. Here is a recent illustration of all the parcels of land which have sold including the Landmark land. Within District North, over 2,000 apartments are under construction or under development.
The Dwell at Legacy, an 8-acre, 289-unit apartment project by Embrey Partners, is scheduled to open June 2015 at The Legacy, the retail center at the northeast corner of Loop 1604 and U.S. 281. Developer Santikos Real Estate Services hopes the apartments, which will include one- and two-bedroom units ranging in size from 500 to 1,200 square feet, complement the tenants — including Best Buy, Main Event, Life Time Fitness, Spec's and Stone Street Pub & Grill — already doing business at the 100-acre Legacy.
