Can someone please stop these disgusting pos developers from building behind the street line? The buildings are ugly enough and that makes it worse.

De Blaiso? Amanda Burden? NIMBYs? Anyone?

I really hate these cheap/ugly hotels. And this 136 W. 42nd building in particular should go in the architectural textbook of book of "don'ts". What a catastrophe.

Yeah the broken streetwall looks like absolute shit, but theyre just following the rules given to them and theyre working with architects that arent going to piss off their clients by being fussy and pushing for sometimes more expensive design solutions - even though that should often be the job of the architect.

well at least it looks slightly better than most of its 'cheaptel' ilk and when you are nearby you can see more of the beauties on either side. really the most egregious offense is calling it the knickerbocker reborn.

It turned out okay. C+

Really dislike the setbacks. But I do enjoy looking at the light blue glass with some white non-glass surfaces. Makes it slightly different from the glass box monstrosities going up all over the city.

Anyway I agree that the name is pretty bad.

At least the Bush Tower is one of the few towers where it's a good thing to have the party wall exposed.
