Walked by today. Unfortunately I'm without a phone for the week or I would have taken a picture. They've added a third storey, and the cladding is red brick. It looks substantially better. There is hope for this project.

They look like faux brick panels, but they look pretty good. The building is starting to look really similar to the federal building, it almost mirrors it across the street.

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt right now. It doesn't look awful.

^But it's the principal of it all. If you believe in architecture, then this abomination is little more than a bivouac. I, for one, think that all those involved with this project should be ashamed. A log cabin would be preferable > at least that's a real thing.

I drove by this late in the afternoon - glad to see the red "brick" panels... it could be better, could also be worse. Mind staying open.

Yeesh, that looks pretty bad.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's not another parking lot anymore but... yeesh.

This reminds me a lot of what's going up in Burlington. Not my taste, but that is apparently the #1 city for high quality of life. Hopefully that rubs off here.

This building is supposed to be apartment rentals versus condo units, so it kinda makes sense that they're doing it on the cheap. At least it's sorely needed infill.

Yes good it will not be a parking lot and we will see a mix of affordability.

Also can someone possibly update the status to "Under Construction" seeing as it's like half erected?

The design is looking much nicer than the renders. If only he'd gone with actual bricks and stone it would be very nice.

If you upload photos to tinypic.com right on the homepage you can resize them, and you
don't even need an account. (the 15" screen size is usually the best setting)...
