I love all of the public art. With all of the art, the wineries, and the way I've noticed people were dressed, it seems like a very cosmopolitan place for its size. Also, those onion rings made me hungry. Thanks!

thanks, homie. it really is a pleasant little town in the middle of nowhere, beautiful country for sure. i've got a massive statewide thread in the works as we speak. plus one catching up with portland, which i haven't done a thread on in six months. all soon.

centro, i actually went to (the reconstructed) fort walla walla. the cemetery and cannon pics toward the end are from it. the fort itself and replica indian tipis came off as a little cheesy, what with the huge aluminum power lines towering over. i didn't check out the museum though.

everyone: thanks a bunch! eat your onion rings.

I wish I had seen this when I was up in Western Washington/Idaho 5 years ago, I would have stopped here.

I just love outdoor scultpures in a city, it's amazing what a draw outdoor art can be to any city. Too bad most cities don't realize this! Because it's not all that expensive, or to maintain! And more attention-grabbing non-utilitarian features should be added, like follies!

When I see photo's of Medellin, Colombia, and all those outdoor sculptures by that famous sculptor, I'm ready to get on a plane and go there! What else may be there, who cares!!! I'm there for the outdoor art attractions!
