Initially, I was a little discouraged about the redesign, but I think this is going to be wonderful addition to the area. Have to admit, SCB and Golub are a pretty trustworthy team as well.
Since renderings have a habit of disappearing from the Internet, I've mirrored them in high resolution here: http://imgur.com/a/wE0mV

I really like this rendering, which helps establish the tower's context:

Thanks for all the updates, Rem. They've been doing some serious digging on this one. SOMA is excavation central lately.

Quite welcome as always. I suppose they've reached as far down as they intend to go, since there aren't going to be many parking spaces. If so, it won't be too long before this one starts poking out of street level. Dirt and more dirt everywhere, and thats not even counting Transbay and 181

^It sure has, and they've poured a lot of concrete as well:

The aforementioned crane with its long-boomed friend:

Hey, there's a guy in that cage:

I bet that would be fun in a strong wind.

Great to see them moving so fast on this one, it seems like it looks different every week. The very first time I saw that long orange crane coming off the Fremont St freeway exit, I found myself wondering how they manage to keep it from tipping over, heh.

You can already see hints of Folsom's transformation, and it will only become more dramatic when the actual street-level improvements are made.
