That makes much more sense than the luxury fun house i was picturing! Feel kinda dumb for not realizing that!

It looks much whiter than in the renderings. I hope that ends up being the case because it doesn't look too bad imo.

The treatment under the windows looks like painted corrugated metal panels. Pretty hideous but thats just my opinion. Not sure Ill be a fan of all that chocolate window framing either when its all said and done. His buildings such as 30 Park Place look better when the window framing matches the facade. Even though this is precast I still think its a richer look. Like I said though just my opinion. Have to wait and see the finished product.

The oil rubbed bronze looking window frames look much better than the usual facade matching tone, which can look like vinyl. It also matches the white concrete and art deco touches. People might poo poo these materials, but it works for Griffith Observatory.

Best to make peace with it since it's well above ground.

Chicago trades One Bennet Park to New York City in exchange for a conditional pick in the next construction boom.

I was originally happy to see something resembling deco (and something other than glass boxes) going up, but from a distance it looks like the garbage littering River North from the '80s and '90s. Hopefully the street level view will have deco-ish appeal.

Its so nice that the members here who have already expressed their irrevocable dislike for this building continue to check in and repeat themselves. Thats really what makes a good forum - quality discussion here. Don't they have a word.for that...?

I believe it will reach the top of the frame in this photo.

I like how people can form an opinion on this building despite it being nowhere near from finished.

Is this your photo?

If not, you need to properly source it.

^It is mine, which is why I did not source it. Also, after looking at it again, the building might only eclipse the horizon, but not the frame, in this photo.

Pretty much as it'll be 200' taller than LPT.
