I do wonder what happened to all those supertall rumors that were swirling around a couple months ago... we got like 5 confirmations from different members, but we haven't heard anything since...

One of them was for Holt Renfrew Tower - which came in shorter than expected.

We were told the supertalls would be 80 storeys. Holts is 83 floors, but didn't hit the right mark.

The other ended up being 60 Harbour Front, which LeftCoaster later indicated will likely be two 200+ metre towers.

a couple of people mentioned that there are multiple in the pipeline though... 60 harbour was one, 50 bloor west was another, are there more that may still be coming?

I recall there was talk about a potential supertall as a third tower in the Brookfield Place complex, but haven't seen anything definite.

You'll learn that 'confirmation' by some people on here is tantamount to 'what they want to happen'. They weren't at the developer's meeting, but make it sound like they were. It's best to chalk it up to gibberish.

Nothings finalized yet. Whether or not we'll see applications for extra units will depend on sales performance.

There's also the mixed use vision for the south-west corner of Ted Rogers Way and Bloor. Think Beekman tower with more setbacks, a vertical mall/atrium, and big water feature. M'thinks iHop might be trying to get a foothold in the lucrative Ontario market.

Wasn't 45 Bay one of the other "rumoured" supertall sites? I know the proposed version is ~800ft...

There were rumours, but nothing concrete. (no pun intended)

Unfortunately we don't have a supertall now, but just wait, there might be a supertall proposal coming up. All odds are off for the next ten years.

Taken with my phone from inside the Rogers Centre. There is certainly a lot of cranes in this small area of Toronto.

Does anybody know the stats for the height of where the base of the V on ScotiaPlaza begins? It looks to me from this photo to be not much lower than the rooftop of Trump.

Based on the diagrams, the V on Scotia Plaza begins around the 220m to 225m mark.
