if sales are so good why can't they get SLS off the ground? I am wondering if anyone will try to build a condo building for anyone but the rich in the city. There has to be demand for condos that aren't $1M+ in CC but it doesn't seem like any developer is catering to that group. I'd rather see a 40 story building with a higher number of units than more 24 story buildings with 1-3 units per floor.
Isn't it hinged on the state budget bc they are getting aid from the state for the building but its held up bc we're 7 or 8 months without a budget at this point?

There are lots of existing condo buildings in lower price ranges. For new construction, developers are focusing on more affluent buyers who are coming back to the city (boomers) and affluent families who are going to try and make a go of it and raise kids in the city (building the townhomes like Rittenhouse Estates and Walnut Estates for that demographic). There's a dearth of residences for these groups so developers are targeting that right now as far as new construction.

SLS has nothing to do with condo sales... it has everything to do with the state budget.

This building could really use like another 10 floors.
