^ I truly don't get that. I guess whatever they build there at the originally proposed height or lower is by right, but can one go through CDR and then change the project like that? Maybe it's only because the project will be identical but for fewer floors.....

Especially since L&I regulations require that there be an on-site "project information panel" that includes:

Quote:
3. A rendering, elevation drawing, or zoning diagram of the building exterior that does not contain logos or
commercially recognizable symbols except in the following cases:

• Demolition

• Alterations where the appearance of the existing façade will not be altered

Now THERE'S a productive use of a Penn Law degree.

It also looks quite nice. While I prefer the original renderings, this is a LOT better than the 407' building they proposed. Too much glass.

Isn't that the original design that everyone crapped on? lol

Edit: I meant the first deviation from the original design, as noted in post #149.

The previous renderings showed the orientation of this buildings facade facing E-W perpendicular to Sansom. This version^ main facade is facing N-S along Sansom and more realistic to the groundwork that has been laid.

but the glass version was the "improved" Cecil Baker inspired version that everyone was raving about.

Is this really a new design? It looks like that gross rendering from however long a go.

This will look very dated very quickly. Much preferred the glass version. I guess I wouldn't mind it if was in University City or a bit shorter so that it didn't stick out too much, but overall, gross.

Pretty sure that's the old, panned (e.g., by Inga) design. The most current CDR-reviewed design is the subsequent Baker glass tower:

I should note that I found this on a real estate website. I don't think it's the current rendering if you guys are saying you've seen it before.

That's not the current rendering, unless they decided to just go back to an old rendering.
