Between the DT loop and Crown Center is the Crossroads neighborhood (gallery/arts district). Midtown is south of Crown Center and Union Hill, starting at 31st street south to at least 43rd st/Westport Rd (some will say it goes as far south as Brush Creek), State line on the west and at least to Troost on the east if not further east. It does include many neighborhoods such as Westport, Volker, Roanoke, Valentine, Coleman Highlands, Hyde Park. If you extend it to Brush Creek it also includes West Plaza, Southmoreland, Rockhill, North Plaza (aka Plaza Westport), and the Plaza itself.

You are correct, I didn't see the one in the Crowne Plaza hotel until a couple months ago.

Now, just for the heck of it, while I was downtown today I went and took a picture of the other Starbucks that I missed the first time.

The entrance is just to the right of the picture.

And this is the inside.

On Feb 19 I went downtown and took a bunch more pics. I was intending to get just pics of some of the renovations I haven't taken pics of yet, but I ended up taking photos of other things as well. So I'll put them here instead of in the KC development compilation thread.

This was a small renovation.

This is actually the back side of the first pic

A couple blocks away, another renovation

I already have pics of this building earlier in this thread, but they've started the renovation now

This was a small renovation that was just about done

This is the site of the rumored Five Light. Was originally intended to be another H&R Block tower but they didn't need the 2nd building anymore

Another renovation, being turned into apartments and a hotel

[

I've taken one or two pics of this before but they've started work on it since then

There have also been plans to renovate this but I think it's on hold

This looks like a boring pic but it's the site of the planned convention hotel. So I took a pic just for the heck of it,

Think I got this one before, but another of the municipal auditorium.

And just across the street from the auditorium, something interesting to read

I've had the pleasure of working on the skytracker on the roof of the KCP&L entertainment district building, which shows up in a few of your shots. Wish I'd had my camera. It was a heck of a neat view. You have a fine town and your pictures are great.

Here's a few shots I took on March 9th when the NCAA's were in town.

And here's a skyline shot taken from the top level of the Jackson County employee parking garage.
