Definitely has the potential to be the best urban skyscraper canyon flanking a river outside of Chicago.

Unfortunately, actual/direct access to the river is so much poorer than in Chicago. With that said, I still really want to see Mandeville come back in the next boom cycle. That design has probably seen its day and will never see the light of day. But an equivalent tall luxury tower in its stead. The Rosenbluth building on Walnut is now fully occupied with City CoHo co-working companies. But even if they weren't kicked out and that wasn't incorporated into any development, the parking lot at 24th and Sansom alone could be used.

The owner of that lot told me that he will develop it in the next cycle. A few more that are closer to happening (just barely) are more Chop towers by the South Street Bridge, the tower planned for the parking lot of Penn Park, and maybe the long-awaiting phase two of Edgewater Apartments.

Schuylkill Yards is closer than all of those, of course, but I don't want to jinx the whole thing by thinking that development is inevitable.

Great to hear! Chuck Block/Bedrock Group? I believe he still owns the Rosenbluth building. Not sure if they also still own the adjacent parcel on Sansom. No need to answer if you feel you can't.

That's the dude-- if you look up his house in LA you'll see that he's in no hurry-- he lives on the same block as Dr. Dre!

I would've loved to have seen the Mandeville come to fruition but the 2008 recession killed it, as well as many other projects. Personally, Iowuld've loved to have seen high-rises along the Delaware.

Right in the center, this thing is moving now. The core must be close to 14 stories and the floor plates about 10.

That gap in the skyline will be filled in really well, not only first by this complex, but I believe that the Laurel will rise directly behind River Walk in this view.

Wow, up to 15-16 floors now.

This is the 28-floor tower of the two, guessing it's topped out by Spring.

This is really going to impact the skyline. Between this, The Laurel, The Arthaus, FMC and CTC, Philly's skyline has really taken a turn. Beautiful to watch the transformation.
