Well, since we started talking about this in the other 6th avenue thread, I figure I should at least mention here that this thing is a few floors above ground. I'll take photos next time I'm in the area.

Well that’s great to hear. Though not made up of large towers, a nice cluster is starting to form in this part of the city.

It should be illegal to ban anyone from posting cool face.

Problem, officer? err, I mean Problem, moderator?

Regardless, that should be an exciting cluster, with that antique skybridge, incredibly dense construction and pedestrian population, and 33rd Street capped off by 2 Penn Plaza. One of the quintessential urban pockets in one of the most urban cities in the world.

And no, the cool face is the super-smile you should put on when a cop (or other authority figure) pulls you over, etc. When your smile is that ridiculous, the cop should let you go. That's the joke.

But it is the "trollface" in some cases because a person who identifies a troll takes the roll of the cop, so the troll will put on his coolface.

Now you know.

That face originated on 4chan's video game board as 'trollface' and was later adopted by the cop video

I feel like a gigantic nerd telling you all this, but I don't want the origins of that hilarious little mspaint face to be forgotten

OK folks. There's a PM function for a reason. Please return to the skyscraper related discussion.

This tower is such a mystery... Do we know how tall its actually going to be (in feet)??

I have a feeling this one will either turn out to be much better than expected... or much, much worse. Any one's guess at this point I suppose.

It has a height of 554 ft (48 stories) listed on it's last application, though that's probably not the total height.

Interesting, thanks. Slightly disappointing height though... Eventi is nearly 100 ft taller.

^ Still from this location (midtown south) it will be visible from either the Hudson or East rivers, thus, it will have impact and facilitate in extending the midtown skyline southward.
