Holy shit. Amazing. Especially the last photo. Is that 4 alleys coming together where you're standing? Quite awesome.

Yes, I was standing in the middle of the intersection. One neat thing about this neighbourhood is the cement paved alleys.

No, this is still Hamilton, I took these photos a month ago. Ottawa photos are coming, but I've been too busy with the move to take photos lately.

Nice pictures. This neighborhood looks like a regular Hamilton neighborhood. Nothing wrong with that, but it looks like one that you would drive through without noticing en route to another neighborhood. I wonder if people in Hamilton forget about this area like that.

A lot of the East End looks like this. The houses and buildings are the product of a population boom around the 1910s-20s. The houses are fairly plain and there is a lot of repetition of a few basic house designs. Not as impressive as the Victorian neighbourhoods.

My dad went to that campus of Mohawk decades ago.

I wonder what's going on with this building: boarded-up bottom but newer windows in the top 2/3?

nice... I like the colours in this one... gives the neighbourhood a 1970s vibe... and what a brilliant idea for a 360 shot... alleyways...

this shot really reminds me of Pittsburgh... the North Oakland area

Reminds me of some neighborhoods in Queens, NY where I lived as a kid.

This basic 2.5 storey house is easily the most common style built in early 20th century working class neighbourhoods--not just in Hamilton, but in many cities. The houses in this particular neighbourhood are so uniform I suspect much of it was built in very short order, probably around 1905-10, during an industrial boom.

Thanks everyone
