Eschewing cheap tack-on architectural decorations and unnecessary size doesn't mean that the house needs to degrade to a windowless container.

surely guys, someone should find a way to build a modern look simple house to everyone to not cost a price more than $ 50 k, because i am tired to live from rent and i really do not understand with so many empty places in world and only 4 walls with some structure and installations, that a house cost much more than a car, with much more complicated technology inside. A house is not dynamic and easy really to do today. Why they do not make a Ford T series production house for every real serious unpaid salaries for the majority? They made that already with furniture, by IKEA. Why not a house yet?
