Last friday we went to El Capricho Historical Gardens to have a very pleasant Fall walk. This´s probably the prettiest park or gardens in Madrid, and is located in the northeastern of Madrid, just in front of Juan Carlos I´s park. It´s very near of Madrid Barajas International Airport. Fortunately, this park only opens on weekends and holidays. Hope you enjoy...
This beautiful 14-hectare park was laid out in the 18th Century for the Duchess of Osuna and is perhaps the only garden in the only park of this kind left in Madrid; however, it has many influences of both the French and English styles which have made it what it is today. Although during the years of war the wonderful gardens were neglected and used for military purposes, they were not severely damaged. In 1985, the complex was declared a sight of cultural interest and certain renovation works were undertaken. Parque de El Capricho is the perfect place for recovery and relaxation being far from city’s hustle and bustle, offering one of the best examples of garden landscaping.

Awesome- just awesome! I would love to wander around these gardens. It looks as if you're not allowed on the bridge - very cool though. Great photos BTW.
