Can't wait to see some rise from the pit. This project, with the integration of the existing building and in such a narrow hole, is really something special. This one seems to be one that will rise slower than some of the other core towers in the city due to the complicated site. I would also guess the cladding/facade will take a while to appear given the detail and thin tower rising above once it goes above ground.

I don't know I feel like once this gets going it's gonna rise really fast.
is anyone else troubled by the economy and what it might mean for all these towers under construction?
These towers have construction financing already so there shouldn't be a problem. l'd be more concerned with future proposed towers during an economic downturn.
I'm not worried about the NY towers. The Chinese towers might get hit hard, though, depending on what the market crash does to the overall Chinese employment and financial markets. Those are a lot of really big office towers going up, and if people start losing jobs there like crazy (which is possible but not yet predictable) that's gonna mean a whole lot of empty buildings.
