I think the aesthetics and slenderness of the altoria will allow it to stick out from its two neighbors. They're only 8 meters taller but yeah, these are some huge mofo towers.

those 2 buildings were probably the last highrises in Montreal constructed with a steel frame,le 1000 also has a steel frame but has a concrete core, it was a rare opportunity to see the legendary Mohawk steel workers working in their home town

The tour Viger is the office part, Altoria is the condo part of the building

Not until work on the foundation itself starts.

At 130 meters, the Altoria will be slightly taller then the National Bank and Aon tower beside it which measure approx. 128 meters.

Thank you wellz, but where did you get that 130m figure? Because everyone seems to think its either a 120m or 130m. Nobody can give me a source either.

Yeah well, not really. At least we're getting something.

Beyond this one, the Marriott on Rene-levesque and a few more mid rises in downtown and on nun's island, there really isn't any high rise development.

Sure we have proposals here and there, but who here honestly believes in the CF project, or the 40 storey office tower on Phillips square?

We need a source, so far no one knows how tall this is going to be. Could be 110m, 135m, 125m, etc..

So far all we have are guesses and educated estimates. 130m sounds reasonable enough to me to go along with it, but I recall reading somewhere that this lot was zoned for 120m max. Not sure though.
