The Comcast Innovation and Technology Center will be so dominating, it will hide Liberty Place from the skyline:

Not if you move a couple of steps to the left.

It'll still be visible from this angle.

I actually don't think it will be, per the rendering that is the icon for this threat.

The Mellon Building is blocking your view of Liberty One in that photo (You can see Liberty One's spire peeking out through the top).

The Parkway view has never been my favorite anyway - one of the signature towers is always blocking at least one other, and the skyline looks much smaller than it actually is.

The view from Belmont Plateau, however, will not only offer an unobstructed view of all the tall towers, but will be enhanced when CITC fills that big gap between Comcast & Mellon.

Late, I'm not a fan of that view either for the same reason:

I prefer the skyline when viewed from the north or south.

The South St Bridge I think offers the best view of the skyline without any building being obstructed.

Yes. Southwest and Northeast provide the best views, and Southwest is a little better. I spotted the CITC from the Riverwalk last week. Where's the next meaningful place it should appear?

To me, it looks like they photoshopped the Mellon Center and both Liberty buildings out of the image (rather than simply adding the CITC on top of them).

Some of the best views are from highways or bridges. You can really see the breadth of the skyline from I-95 in South Philly when you are parallel to Market Street when approaching or leaving the Girard Point Bridget. You get similar view coming east on the Walt Whitman or across the Platt- you see far more from there than from the BF bridge.

Ditto that, this view is one of my favorites, really expands the skyline.

South Street Bridge is probably the best-balanced vantage point, but now Bell Atlantic is largely blocked in that view.

Here's an old photo I took from the Mann (prior to Evo, while RATR was going up.) I've quickly added CITC so simulate how it'll fill up that gap I was talking about. I keep meaning to get back up there and take a new photo so I do a proper CITC render and add FMC & 1601 Vine too...)

sweet, this is the only other mann center citc view i've seen besides the one i threw together last year. i feel like theres a lack of different vantage point renderings for citc, it's going to have such a varied impact from different angles due to it's design and location. mann and the plateau may be the best if not the best angles to see the building in all its glory. i'd love to see fmc and others added! posting from an iphone and having a screwed up computer sucks (no photoshop)

One of my fav views is actually coming down 95 from NE/Bucks. The best is the section between Allegheny and Girard. But being that there's not a natural photo spot, there's not many pictures floating around of this view.

^ Your absolutely right! My favorite view, as your driving closer to the city, and it gets bigger and bigger.

I would add the view as you approach the Walt Whitman bridge from the Phila side heading East. The skyline is stretched out as wide as it can be. It's best to see this view as a passenger and not the driver for obvious reasons.

The ramp from 95 to the westbound Vine St Expressway has a really nice view as well.

I like that view as well but once again, I think the trophy towers get stacked up and block each other too much for the perspective to be ideal.

When developers see opportunities, such as a vacant lot across the street from their previous tower, they will snatch it up without thought of the "skyline" views.

In other words, the "skyline" is just a bonus for their efforts.
