This is easily of the best goals in the last few years.
He has an even better one against Seattle last year. 1.6 million views on youtube. Also at the end of the game to salvage a tie.

Montreal sign first Designated Player in Marco Di Vaio

Quote:
The Impact officially announced the long-rumored signing of prolific Italian Serie A striker Marco Di Vaio, who has just concluded a 10-goal season for Bologna FC in Italy. It was his fourth consecutive season of double-digit goals for the top-flight Italian club.

Absolute embarrassment of a performance by the Caps last night. All that talk of how badly desperate they were to win the ACC and there wasn't any drive from anybody on the field. Pathetic.

Di Vaio could be one of the top strikers in this league. He's a bit old, hopefully he still has some solid seasons in him in a much lower level than serie a in which he scored 142 goals.

Vancouver ties the game up in Portland with only a few minutes left. One more point and still 4th in the west.

Toronto will be on par with Montreal if they win their next 3 games. This shows how miserable Montreal is playing right now.

Canada takes on Cuba today in the first game of Round 3 of the World Cup Qualifier. I believe the game starts at 2:30EST. Unfortunately I'm at work.

EuroCup starts today as well, but I assume everyone knows that.

Aaand, we beat Cuba away! Great news. Hopefully Honduras and Panama tie, although the last I saw Panama was up 1-0. I could live with that as well, as its Honduras that'll be the real problem in the group.

Why does everything Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment touch (performance wise) turns to crap?

Great quote from TSN on the disaster that Toronto FC is. What a joke of a franchise that is.

James Cybulski, TSN Radio 1050: My thumb is down to Toronto FC. Five years ago, the most diverse city on the planet was the most fertile land in MLS, establishing itself as the city with the best fans in the league and a place the stars wanted to shine. But mismanagement has turned TFC into a soccer wasteland. Less than a year and a half ago, TFC had a thorough search to find Aron Winter to be the man to get the franchise on track, but he was fired this week, replaced by Paul Mariner. That makes it seven coaches in five years! They go through coaches the way Alex Rodriguez goes through girlfriends...or the way the NHL goes through prospective buyers for the Phoenix Coyotes. You couldn't find a ticket at BMO Field a couple of years ago. Now this once model franchise has become a model of incompetence.

Whitecaps game today.

On a side note, I will be in Vancouver on the 22nd of July and will be going to the game that day vs San Jose. Pretty stoked to watch some MLS in person. Sadly there are no Sounders games when we are out that way as we will be heading to Seattle too.

I hate that 3 week break they have in MLS. At least the Euro is on now.

Amazing weekend for sports. Stanley Cup, Euro, F1, Roland Garros Finals...and NBA semis

I hate the lack of Impact games on TV here.. Unless they are playing Toronto or Vancouver we are usually SOL.

You can watch EVERYTHING on Firstrow! It immediately filled the void after ATDHE was briefly shut down.
