Of course, big houses are so NOT a culture of Vancouver.....

I think that statement is meant for the rich asian immigrants.

I’ve heard people refer to the no 5 road and steveston area as “steveston”

But I agree the video takes place in the Seafair area, not steveston

Either close to steveston or in it depending on which map you look at.

i dont agree with you. I live in richmond, even though Chinese take almost half of population in the city and they live in the big houses, but, biggest houses were mostly built by locals. you can take a look at gilmore area in richmond,( No.3 south cross finn rd, there are lot super monster villa, they were mostly built by local, even some of them now are owned by Chinese. Also in vancouver west and west vancouver, super monster houses were built and owned by local super rich guys, just recent years, the ownership turned to chinese or guys from middle east or Europe, they are much more rich though.

Not sure what you are not agreeing with me about with what you are saying.

Do you know what a sarcasm is? Or a double-talk?

BTW, I was replying to this video, which I found highly inappropriate.

i have to say, i am a fan of it. Richmond as a suburb is getting some pretty nice projects. from Capstan Village to Richmond Centre/Lansdowne areas; they are all really changing.

Good looking project. Its website has some pretty amazing quotes:

Quote:
The Paramount is more than an address. It is home to an international lifestyle of high–performance prestige.
Quote:
The equal to the World’s most exciting metropolitan centres, Richmond offers world–class cuisine, international fashion and a lifetime of tradition.
Quote:
Prestige ownership on a global scale.

To be employed as a copywriter for one of these developers would be fun. You just need to take the piss, and be as hyperbolic as possible.

Richmond should be looking like a pretty modern and hip city in 5 years' time. Can't wait for all the proposed projects to be completed.
