The first few photos were taken in Austria on the highway coming from Germany:
We passed through a tunnel that went under the mountain pictured here. This was taken from the back seat of our rental looking behind us:
On the other side of the tunnel was Bregenz, Austria. We stopped and took some photos and had coffee:
This small city was so clean, this was about the extent of the graffiti we saw:
It would have been nice to stay longer than the few hours we were there but we wanted to include Lichtenstein in our itinerary and that included backtracking to get back to Germany:
Some Swiss countryside shots out of the moving car:
This is Gams, Switzerland, I believe:
Welcome to Lichtenstein!
This is the municipality of Schaan:
I saw more Cadillacs here than anywhere else I visited in Europe:
Off to Baden-Baden before it got too late. The purpose of going to Baden-Baden was to finally see where I was born and where my parents lived at that time. They were in the Canadian Armed Forces back then and lived there for a number of years. This would be the first time I have been back since I was about 15 months old.
Our GPS took us through many small Swiss towns and we ended up going through the Black Forest at night before reaching our destination. That was quite a change of driving from the Autobahn:
After this it became dark and we finally reached Baden-Baden around midnight. Driving through the Black Forest at night was definitely something I’m proud to say I did but it was once of the more tense drives I’ve had to do in my life:
Thanks for viewing!
