+1. I'd also like to see various commercial (hopefully entertainment, bars & restaurants) at street level running down the west side of Canal and then west on Fulton toward the RR viaduct.

Crain's is reporting that Morton Salt is relocating their headquarters to River Point, leasing two floors (confirming an earlier report from two months ago). The article said that the building is now 60% leased.

What about... Wolf Point East, Wolf Point South, Spire site, Wanda, NE corner LSE, and the lot south of NBC tower?

Hines has a plan to build a small hotel just to the north of the building on the same site if you remember. It almost looks like they are building part of the base for that hotel now. That will fill in the gap.

Was that approved as part of the original PD? I know it was dropped from the development, but if it's allowed under the PD it will eventually be built.

I thought that was dropped in favor of a low-rise restaurant.

The hotel was scrapped years ago.

One of my favorite Chicago towers going up at the moment. Nice pics and coverage George.

Can't wait to return this September. Already booked reservations for 5 days at the Fairmont.

Anyways, with this tower, the location is impeccable.
