MINNEAPOLIS | The Nic on 5th-26 floors-289 feet

This is well underway. Kind of a bland design, but it is going in on what was a very dead empty lot downtown Minneapolis. Below is the original article, the building was originally to be 33 floors.

Update from Lorwest at urbanmsp.com. You can see the core is rising above ground now.

Matt at urban MSP, thank you. http://urbanmsp.com/viewtopic.php?f=...art=580#p28356

This tower is at 11-12 storeys out of 26, rising about one floor per week. The podium has yet to start. Going to look good

Thanks to spearson at urbanmsp.com for the photo. http://urbanmsp.com/viewtopic.php?f=...art=600#p29692

A little bit higher, and some cladding has begun. Looking good. After this floor is poured it will have reached the halfway point in terms of height, minus the crown.

Too bad this baby didn't end up with 36 floors! What's that proposal on Washington Blvd.? 13 stories I believe. Thought that would be a location for a high-rise. Good to see things moving along in Mpls!

This is nearly done, can be seen on the 4Marq webcam:

The podium will obvioulsy be covered entirely by other new buildings on the block.

This turned out OK.... but should have been another 8-10 stories taller! I'm afraid Opus is going to cheap out on the development across the street!
