Wembley, London

Wembley is an area in North Western part of Greater London which is first of all associated with its stadium (the old one which is now gone and the new one which was just completed).

So here we go...

1.

2.

3.
Local kids willing to pose for a photograph (it seems they know how to do it)

4.

5.
A rendering of the new Wembley Stadium and area surrounding it... it's now juts a big construction site but it will turn into something nice in the next couple of years

6.
...and here it is, the showcase of contemporary stadium buildings. World's most expensive (the total cost of the project is around $2 billion) and probably the best sports venue ever built, the new Wembley Stadium

7.

8.

9.

10.

11.

12.

13.

14.

Hope this was any interesting

Yes, the kids but aslo the district with new modern buildings and old industrial buildings in ruin. It is like Saint Denis (Nothern inner suburbs of Paris) where is built the Stade de France, but Wembley is less dense than Saint Denis.

Wembley is further out. Stade de France is also a rubbish stadium compared to Wembley.

We waited for the arch to be illuminated but apparently they weren't switching on the lights that night. Here is Wembley with the arch lit up:

It somewhat echoes the London Eye and indeed the two are the same height (135m):
