DTLA if every project goes through (I may have forgot a few, and left out shit boxes, so not every project, but you get my point). While obviously not all of these projects will get built, about half of them are already under construction, so it wouldn't be crazy to assume that around 2/3rds of these will be.
I tried to keep heights as accurate as possible, but I had to rely on floor count and nothing else for a few of the buildings.
I was thinking of formatting a potential LA Mega Thread so that the top was all high rises / mid rises under construction in Los Angeles, and then the proposed buildings would be broken up by neighborhood. I just feel like Los Angeles is not a centralized city, and shouldn't be treated as such. Moreover I feel that often times conversation has lapsed here more so than other threads, and combing both treads would help alleviate that.
I'm for the keeping it separate group. You are right that this is not a centralized city but the downtown growth does seem very centralized on its own. Growth is elsewhere too but the metropolitan area is just too huge to keep a sense of spatiality and perspective, especially when so many projects are going on or people aren't familiar with specific areas.
I do like your idea of categorizing the proposed buildings by neighborhood though...
^^^ I would have to vote separate as well. I do like the idea of there being more traffic if it was combined, but I think with the fact that DTLA is an altogether different beast than the rest of the city right now...I would keep it separate.
I'm going to have to go with separate as well. While the idea was nice, I can see how it could potentially get confusing. Downtown is it's own behemoth with so many projects that it obviously deserves it's own thread.
