Whoa, whoa. Where did these come from?

It's Wednesday (at least in Europe) already, where (is / are) our new column(s)?
They're assembling a new crane to put up columns around the east face of the tower. Expect them in a few days.

wow, the new red crawler crane is much bigger than the first one and I think it's only a matter of time before the West permiter columns start to rise!

See pics above.

Those columns are the inner wall of the air plenum that runs from the 3rd floor all the way up to the underside of the 20th floor. All four sides well have em.

This tower is gonna be awesome once it's done! I think it is simple but classy and I love the way it seems to mirror the shape of the Empire State Building (see rendering below from dailydaydreamer.wordpress.com). NYC is a beast and will always be the skyscraper capital of the world!

Decking also on the second floor

Hi,

I didn't knew that before, but this picture (By Lofter1 from Wired New York forum) shows that there is decking also on the second floor

Regards,
Tal.

Finally, that must be the second floor machanical plate Zensteeldude was talking about. Wow, it didn't take long to finally see this in place.

This is really starting to become exciting! The only bad part about this is that the earthcam isn't working again, but it's nothing close-up pictures can't fix.

Tal, thanks for contributing, but you need to post a link to where you find photos that aren't yours and give credit to the photographer.

People, please forward any webcam issues here...

Or here...

Leave this thread to Freedom Tower related discussion. Thanks.

The financial district of Lower Manhattan is a relatively small (compared to Midtown) neighborhood, and before 9/11, whenever you were down there, you felt immanently close
to the World Trade Center. Hard to explain, but I have that feeling again whenever I'm down there. There's a sense of something huge going on.

Spray on fire proofing sticks to un-painted steel VERY well. The painted stuff is coated with fire proofing paint (intumescent paint).
