The site plan status is "awaiting update", and there have been no updates to it since last December. The last time he was quoted in published article - the article should be linked to further up in this thread - he said construction would start this year. So two years to completion is possible if it actually gets started soon. But I have lost almost all confidence in this one ever being built (in its current form).

Does Nate have a new financial partner? Maybe this thing will finally move forward now.

99 Trump Place. It will have a 20 foot fence around it. But seriously folks, the 180-day extension to clear comments on the site plan expires in a month (12/17). So maybe there's a chance we get some sort of update around that time.

What happens if they don't make changes before the expiration? Also I wouldn't mind "99 Trump Place" if it meant a signature, 850-900 ft design.

I think there's a better chance of Trump being elected president and building an 80-story tower on the White House's North Lawn than this one ever being built. Groundbreaking was scheduled back in 2013, and they've had the demo permits to tear down that metal shed for like three years.

I wouldn't mind him building a tower in DT if it meant he had time to do it because he wasn't elected president.

I wouldn't mind his money being in it to see it built, but I don't want to see his name on it or have him have a much control over it. I've read bad things about some of the projects he's been involved in. You can go digging some more, but here's a few articles on it.

I think it'd be hilarious to have a Trump tower in Austin.

GDC, the same architectural firm that designed 99 Trinity designed a 51-story high-rise for a Trump Tower in Dallas pre-recession. It was never built but GDC keeps it on their website because the architect is very fond of the design. Go check it out, it would look incredible on the Trinity site. If not... Nate Paul can keep parading around with his 99 Trinity model.

With no updates since 2014, the site plan application has expired:

https://www.austintexas.gov/devrevie...erRSN=11253223

But WCC did have a recent post to a comment on their Facebook page saying to expect updates in 2016. I suspect those updates will amount to something like stay tuned for more updates in 2017...
