They played 2 shifts tonight...

Another emotionless (just like their coach) game by the Habs. Today was probably the worst line juggling game I have seen in my life...

It was fitting that Enqvist, Moen and Darche were on the ice with the goalie pulled.

The only positives out of this game were the fact that Gomez was injured (I feel dirty for doing this but it's the only time I'll cheer for an injury) and that we are one loss closer to having a new coach.

I loved Dan O'Toole's recap of the Leafs game. "The Bruins scored six, the Leafs...did not"

I was at the Jets-Leafs game as well. I had worn my old Jets jersey all day at work and I lost track of how many compliments and encouraging words I got from random people while walking around downtown at lunch. A lot of people are happy that the Jets are back.

100% agree, he led the team to a 1st place finish in 07-08.
Who can forget the "COMEBACK" vs the Rangers? Still is today, the best hockey game I have ever watched.
Who can forget the Game 7 win vs the Bruins in front of a crazy Bell Centre?

He is the best coach the Habs have had in years. I think the start of the 08-09 season, the year after the 1st place, was the best in Habs history. Unfortunately, some players had "problems" off the ice and the team started losing a lot of games which eventually led to Carbonneau's firing.

I want him back.

Decent game vs the Rangers right now. Probably much better than the other game in Alberta right now, lol.

Martin isn't going anywhere, like it or not. Gauthier and him are tight. The only way he goes is if Gauthier gets fired and another gm comes in.

Carbonneau? lol. There's a reason he hasn't found a job since being fired. He sucks.

It looks like the Jets have picked up where they left off in 96, they suck! Hopefully they pull it together, I'd hate to see them suck as bad as Atlanta did, 2 playoff appearances in 12 years is pathetic!

Stupid Rangers scored with 0.5 seconds left in the game, I was curious to see how Karlsson would handle the shootout. Has he been in one before?

God, I hate watching Minnesota play.

Hypothetically, even if the Oilers went 6-0 against them in a season and Minnesota ended up dead-last in the entire NHL, I would still be cursing out the Wild.

I thought Minnesota was supposed to be different than they were in the past? Do they still play the trap like it's a religion? I haven't watched them play yet this year...

Well the clock certainly was cruel to both the Flames and Oilers last night.

It's still very early in the season but I must admit the Oilers have surprised me. For a team supposedly loaded with offence but weak on defence and goaltending this team has certainly shown the exact opposite. 11 goals for and 11 goals against in the first 6 games. They are dead last in goals for per game and 3rd overall in goals against per game.

I don't mind Gauthier but it's Martin I cannot stand anymore.

And Carbo was a good coach...at least we had some offensive vision back then.

Maybe we're currently fiding out that Kirk Muller was the "real coach" of the Habs in the last 2 years?

The Bruins success lies in Thomas, solid defense and goons. The Leaf's weak D was the only thing we could fault.

So, in other words, having a well rounded team with players who excel in every position? Who would have thought!

I remember when my Flames had a defenseman. And a forward who could score. And one who was hard to play against and intimidating.

Having a team of complete pushovers isn't good. Just ask Vancouver.

Nope, no different. Even with scorers like Heatley, Cullen, Koivu, and Settagucci, Minnesota plays the exact same defense-first, get-lots-of-whistles, trap-the-other-team-into-boredom style of hockey.

Fuck that team. Fuck them right in the tits.
