I agree.
But they still lack elegance.

This new proposal would be good as a residential tower but not office. Those fins if they are balconies scream to be residential

Pictures of La Défense that I took today at 2pm, with two skyscrapers under construction.

Granite Tower under construction (184m/604ft).

Axa Tower under reconstruction (159m/522ft to become 225m/738ft, 240m/780ft with spire). It will temporarily become Paris's tallest skyscraper.

I can't even see T1.
Granite doesn't look taller than the twins.

T1 is visible actually, it's between Total and Coeur Défense. As for Granite's height, I also find it desappointing but don't forget that there's also a perspective effect on the picture. You can see it even more clearly with Défense 2000.

La Défence's future skyline will be a lot different than it's current "flat roof skyline" I am not shure if like it or not, but it will most likely grow on me.

That's right.
After decades of boring flat roofs, it seems like now, any spike goes.

The Russian Company Hermitage SAS plans to build in Paris an analogue of the Federation Tower, which is currently under construction in Moscow. The 300 meter high tower with the total floor area of 250 000 square meters will be constructed in La Défense business district of Paris and promises to become the highest residential building in Europe. Beside apartments, there will be an apart-hotel and offices. The parent company of Hermitage SAS will build also an office tower with the floor area of 120 thousand square meters within the limits of Paris Conurbation.

The both towers are estimated at Eur2.5 billion. However, the French party hasn’t confirmed the project yet. Hermitage SAS has got several similar residential projects in France.

^ Interesting, I wonder if it will be a kind of "replica" of the Federation Tower in Moscow, or a pretty uniqe design. I am hoping for the last. It would good for La Défence to get another supertall anyway.

The selected project is supposed to be marked by originality. So, it won't be a mere copy of an existing building.

I'm not sure the model is to the scale.
The spikes on top of generali should contribute much more to the total height.

The problem is that the Spire of Generalli is too small.

EPAD has revealed the selected architects/developers for the TOUR SIGNAL (About 300m) in La Defense.
