I'm finally getting around to gathering up my photos from my Trans-Siberian trip this past summer. Moscow surprised me at how clean and beautiful it was. I had been expecting Kruschev-era austerity, not flowers and gardens. Also, the whole city was in a public works construction boom, with most of the city undergoing some form of renovation.
For other photothreads by me, there is a directory here.
Nice pictures! I like that building lit up with white, red, and blue. The most interesting picture is that one of the people on the subway facing the artwork!
Great pics. It's true that Moscow seems to be in a constant state of renovation ! It can be a little bit exhausting sometimes. I was in Moscow too last summer, and I recognize on your pics some places I visited, like Gorky Park.
I must confess that I'm not very fond of this city, but I am in love with Siberia, so I am eager to see your next threads !

The thing that stands out to me the most is not just how beautiful the subway stations are, but how ad-free the train interiors are. Are those actual framed oil paintings?!
