Missed this from 2 weeks ago. I haven't found many other construction photos, but from the renderings, it looks like this is a pretty nice upgrade. Phased construction is still ongoing.

I like the scale of this project and the integration of the new Hillel community center on Beaver. Hopefully, the trend of building larger and taller mixed-use projects such as this and RISE will continue.

I just hope that the NIMBYS are ignored. I know there is a growing sentiment among a few that these larger mixed-use projects are destroying the scale and character of downtown State College. I suppose they rather see fertile farm land and wooded properties plowed over for low density tract housing like over in Toftrees.

The historic Glennland Building on Beaver Ave. I believe this will be a very nice upgrade for hotels in town.

State College recently rolled out an interactive map to provide updates on construction projects happening in the Borough. You can look at it here. It's actually pretty handy, as it includes the current status, the date of plan review submittal, a well as project description, developer, rendering, etc.

Edit: Totally missed that pahighrise posted a link to the exact same site.
