Newfoundland & Labrador Weather

There's a thread in the federal section but there's no reason we can't have our own.

So, I've gotten in to checking the records for each day.

Here are today's for St. John's...

December 24

High: 15.3C (1990)
Low: -15.0C (1970)
Rainfall: 31.0mm (1976)
Snowfall: 13.2cm (1947)
Snow on ground: 48.0cm (1958)

That seems like a very low record snowfall.

And a couple of other coastal cities just to compare:

Halifax

High: 12.4C (1990)
Low: -21.4C (1989)
Rainfall: 31.3mm (2004)
Snowfall: 47.5cm (1970)
Snow on ground: 33.0cm (1963)

Victoria

High: 14.3C (2005)
Low: -7.2C (1944)
Rainfall: 16.8mm (1973)
Snowfall: 13.2cm (2008)
Snow on ground: 44.0cm (2008)
